Confidentiality & Privacy Policy
The law protects the relationship between the client and wellness coach and consultant (EFT practitioner being one of those). Your information and our professional communications are protected by both law and professional ethical standards of practice. Information cannot and will not be disclosed without written permission. All coaching sessions and other communications are conducted professionally and with complete confidentiality, in compliance with standards of professional (and personal) ethics and HIPAA regulations.
That said, I am by law a mandatory reporter. This means that by law certain exceptions apply, they include:
- Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report to the appropriate authorities immediately.
- If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person or persons, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
- If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety, such as calling emergency services and or their listed emergency contact.
